The data associated with the
human fossil record has sprawled over the last 150 years, and the vast array
of knowledge available is largely clouded by obscure publications and popular
oversimplification. Many researchers have databases of fossils and localities,
but these invariably grow unwieldy and impossibly time-consuming to maintain.
The Human Origins Locality Data Collective combines datasets of
paleoanthropology researchers globally and freely. It has a star-based rating
system that allows collaborators to rate the entries of other users. |
